Everyone knows that there are bagpipes and snare drums in a Pipe and Drum band, but there are a few other instruments as well. The tenor and bass drums provide an extra level of depth to the rhythm section, as well as a little bit of ‘pop’ to the band. The standard instruments in a pipe band are 6 to 25 pipers, 3 to 10 snare drummers, 1 to 6 tenor drummers and 1 bass drummer.
