Bagpipes

Beginner students do not start on the bagpipes in their first year. The beginner pipers will begin to learn on an instrument called a practice chanter. This equipment is not supplied by the band and must be purchased by the band member. Practice chanters are available for purchase locally at Kinnaird Bagpipes and Reeds (www.kinnairdbagpipes.com). Expect to pay approximately $70 for a practice chanter.
